The History of El Bajadero Coffee
The journey begins with notes of passion fruit. This is our precious coffee, rated 87.5/100 in tastings, it is exceptional. El Bajadero is the inaccessible! Its rows of coffee trees are planted on the steepest slopes of the El Bosque family farm, accessed by a « ramp » of steps carved into the path right in the mountain. This 7-hectare single-variety microlot (100% Catuaì) produces excellent shade-grown coffee, sheltered by banana trees and century-old conifers.
We chose it when we returned from the plantation because, in terms of smell and taste, it offered us maracuja (passion fruit) as a gift!
